The growth on the left side of the center tree is the size of a Volkswagen Bug!
General Sherman is the largest tree in the world by volume and is estimated to be 2200 years old. Its diameter at the base is 36 1/2 feet, and it is 275 feet tall.
Full view of General Sherman:
A black bear walked toward us on the side of the road and then decided to cross. He was moving just fast enough to blur our picture. Seeing him was awesome!
