We enjoyed a short 100-mile driving day to Pacifica, California on May 11th, and pulled into our little parking slot at the San Francisco RV Resort. We were lucky to have a little strip of grass and a picnic table at our spot.

On May 12th, we drove into San Francisco for the first time and visited the San Francisco Botanical Garden at Strybing Arboretum. Many beautiful theme gardens were in bloom, and several peaceful ponds hosted fish, turtles, and ducks. The botanical garden and arboretum are located in Golden Gate Park, which has more than 1000 acres of gardens, lakes, museums, a botanical conservatory, the National AIDS Memorial Grove, athletic fields, and many other attractions. While the botanical garden is huge, we saw just a very small portion of Golden Gate Park.
