By Wednesday March 31st, the transition was complete, and we left Beaudry's RV Park in our new fifth wheel. It was a little sad leaving the Catalina behind, but it would now make other people happy.
We traveled north to Glendale AZ so we could see the Bead Museum. Karen thought it was fantastic, and Bill discovered that he likes chevron beads! Visitors are not allowed to take pictures, but anyone remotely interested in beads will be thrilled to visit this museum. Thousands of well-documented beads span recorded history, and videos provide even more information on how beads were made and used. The museums beads are made of bronze, copper, silver, gold, bone, ivory, clay, porcelain, wood . . . even woven grass! And, of course, glass! Classes are offered at the museum, and beautiful beads, bead books, and beaded items are sold in the gift store.
We spent the night at Donorma RV Park in Surprise. Our site offered more shade than we'd seen in weeks!

Trains went back and forth right outside the RV park with loud blasts of their horns day and night - mostly night!
Lemar Pettengill, from Iowa, was a fabricator for 45 years and designed and built this boat-towing system in a weekend in 1995.
